BONDED WAREHOUSE

When shipments arrive in the United States from a foreign destination they are subject to duties, federal excise tax, and quota charges. These charges must be paid before the importer may take possession of the goods. In some cases, you may need to import your goods (but not take possession) and need to store them without paying customs duties and taxes. A1 is here to help! We can store your goods in our bonded facility.

A Customs bonded warehouse is a building or other secured areas in which imported dutiable merchandise may be stored, manipulated, or undergo manufacturing operations without payment of duty up to 5 years from the date of importation. You may keep your goods in storage, manipulate them, and find customers to sell your products prior to paying customs duties and taxes. This will allow you to save your capital until your cargo is ready or you have found a buyer. In the event, a buyer cannot be found or your goods cannot be made suitable for sale, the merchandise may be re-exported. It wouldn’t be subjected to import duties, excise taxes, or other customs fees.


